FTD Awareness Week

21-27 September 2026

September marks FTD Awareness Week, a time to raise awareness of a condition that often goes unnoticed and is misunderstood.

Behind every diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia (FTD) is a personal story of resilience, struggle, and love. Sharing these experiences is vital to breaking the stigma, fostering understanding, and pushing for earlier, more accurate diagnoses.

Real FTD experiences are also essential for the PREDICTFTD project. That’s why we are proud to have our public involvement board member, Stephen, an active dementia advocate and speaker, partnering with Alzheimer Europe to bring lived experience to the centre of awareness and change.
